Chief Mike Pintar

I would like to welcome you to the official website of the City of Timmins Fire Department and Emergency Management. This site offers an abundance of history, operations, safety and emergency information that will be interesting and informative for everyone. We have also included numerous links to a wide range of sites in both the Fire and Emergency Management areas.

The City of Timmins has a very unique blend of volunteer and full time firefighters that serve the total area of 3210 square kilometers. This requires 6 stations (5 volunteer stations and one composite station).

Our Department provides services in the following areas: Public Fire Education, Fire Prevention and Suppression which includes all fires, vehicle extrication, medical tiered response, airport, water/ice rescue, hazmat operations level. All of our firefighters not only provide these well trained services, but are also involved with local charities and other community events. Our firefighters and fire department are committed continually meeting the needs of the citizens and visitors to our beautiful City.

We invite you to explore this website and get an in-depth view of our proud department. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at (705) 360-2626 or via email at fire@Timmins.ca

Thank you,

Chief Mike Pintar

I would like to thank all those involved in getting this website up and running, especially our summer students Brianne Laneville and Jennifer Rozon.
